Ash Scan – Online coal Ash Analyser

DUAL Energy Transmission (“DUET”, also called “LET” = Low Energy Transmission) is a proven technology for online real time measurement of coal ash. Ash consists mainly oxides of metallic elements like Si, Fe, Al and Ca. Ash Scan measures the attenuation of two gamma rays, a high energy gamma ray (CS-137) and a low energy gamma ray (Am-241). By combining two attenuated gamma ray beam absorptions, major ash forming elements present in the coal can be measured which correlates directly to the total ash.

The Ash Scan analyser is suitable for both raw coal and washed coal. It is mostly used in coal and power industry for quality control and metallurgical accounting of Coal.
